This is a miniature or BB sized
FD in a nice red. The first
flowers were very nice and
photogenic. It grew only about
3 feet tall and got lost in the
generally taller seedlings later
in the year. It is a hand cross
of a pink MB and a nice
seedling that was a darker
red and had MB and FD in it's
background.
This is a seedling of a
MB and was the result
of a bee pollinated
flower. Was very nice
all year long.
This is an A sized semi
cactus(it could be
larger next year) in a

a 4 foot bush.

MB BI R/W I should not put
this picture in here because
this seedling did not have very
many nice flowers later.
Seedling of an MB by the
bees. If this one turns out like
the picture next year, I will
celebrate.
Ted in the seedling patch.
Here are some pictures of the 2008 first year seedlings. We had a very nice seedling year
and marked more than usual to keep on a second year. These are the best pictures of the
seedlings and many of the best of the seedlings did not get a good photo. I have noted
whether each one is the result of a hand cross by Margaret or the result of a random bee
pollinated flower. It should be mentioned that many of these flowers will never be released
for various reasons. They need to be grown for further evaluation
Margaret does the hand pollinating.
