Teresa Bergman of Cowlitz River dahlias fell in love with Icarus. She showed the flower to blue
ribbons at several shows and is introducing it. We have given her our supply of tubers to add to
her inventory. Icarus is a tall growing "A" sized flower in gold tones. It has very nice stems and
shows well. It is one of the most photogenic dahlias I have seen as the colors are picked up well by
digital cameras. If the supply of tubers are sold out, Teresa will be selling rooted cuttings. I grew
nearly all of my plants of Icarus from rooted cuttings and they did very well. They bloomed earlier
than the tuber grown plants and had good tuber production too. I am going to plant lots of Icarus
in my garden next year. By the way, my wife Margaret has now declared Icarus to be a favorite
arrangers flower and has given me orders to plant lots of it.
